Mendoza

Mendoza is at the heart of Argentina's wine industry and produces far and away the most of any of the country's regions. The vineyards stretch along the feet of the Andes mountain range: the meltwater is desperately needed for irrigation (the rest of Mendoza is desert.) The mountains provide an impressive backdrop and this must be one of the most beautiful wine regions of the world.
