Vouvray

Vouvray is a specific area within the sub-region of Touraine. Here Chenin Blanc is used to make still and sparkling whites. These can vary greatly in style, from dry to very sweet dessert wines, depending on the degree of ripeness. Chenin retains it's acidity as it ripens, so these wines achieve impressive balance even when very rich and sweet.
