Mosel Saar Ruwer
The many twists and turns of the Mosel (the Saar and Ruwer are tributaries) and it's incredibly steep slopes host some of the most cherished vines in the world. In some places the vines seem to grow out of the sheer slate at an angle of 70 degrees. The cool northern climate combined with the sun exposure of the slopes and heat retention of the slate creates beautifully defined Rieslings. They are light in body and offer a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.
