Veneto
The area between Venice and Lake Garda is tempered by mountains to the north and the Adriatic sea to the east. This is the home of Soave, Valpolicella, Bardolino and Prosecco. Whilst some international grape varieties are now planted, Gargenega (Soave white wine) and Corvina and Rondinella (Valpolicella red wine) and of course Prosecco grapes, are the most widely planted.
