Soave

Soave is a white wine made from the Garganega grape (with a little Chardonnay, Trebbiano or Pinot Blanc). It has a distinct almond character as well as delicate, grapey aromas. Yields have to be carefully controlled on the fertile plains of the river Adige and the best wines are from the Soave Superiore zone where the soils are volcanic.
