Ribero del Duero

Located in the East of the Castilla y Leon region, Ribero del Duero is in the rain shadow of the Cordillera Cantabrica. The inland location, sheltered by mountain ranges, creates quite an extreme climate for growing grapes, with hot and dry summers and cold winters. Fortunately during the growing season the diurnal temperature range means that the grapes ripen beautifully, slowly developing complex aromas and flavours. Tempranillo is the most widely planted grape.
