Benito Ferrara, Greco di Tufo

Floral nuances with richer aromas of almonds and hazelnut and mineral tones usher in a palate that is full with golden apple, peach and cinnamon.

Within Campania, Benito Ferraro owns a mere 8 hectares tucked in the mountains of Tufo, a region known for gorgeous Greco, an Italian white grape indigenous to southern Italy.  At 500 meters above sea level, the warmth of the region is mitigated by the altitude and hilly terrain, which protects this tiny parcel from the heat.

No oak is used during fermentation, which preserves the vibrant fruit profile. Flavours abound - blanched almond, fresh lemon zest, white cherry, white peach, fresh-herbs and accents of apricot. You will be delighted by this wine's mineral snap and complex, lingering finish of apple and white pepper.

With its dry finish, we can comfortably suggest it with a wide variety of food pairings.  Salads and your favorite cheese are a must. But, given its minerality from the coastal influence and micro-climate, we suggest seafood or any herb-based dishes.
