Veneto

The area between Venice and Lake Garda is tempered by mountains to the north and the Adriatic sea to the east. This is the home of Soave, Valpolicella, Bardolino and Prosecco. Whilst some international grape varieties are now planted, Gargenega (used to make Soave white wine) Corvina and Rondinella (used to make Valpolicella red wine) and of course Prosecco grapes, are the most widely planted.
