Four of the traditional port grape varieties have been used to create this wine; Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz. As a result this wine has plenty of cherry and cassis fruit flavours on the nose, with cedar and spice on the palate. There is a good brightness and freshness to the wine despite the hot summers that are virtually guaranteed in the Douro. The wine is perfect to drink with many different types of food as it has a great balance of tannins and acidity.
