Roqueterre, Carignan vieilles vignes

100% Carignan, a grape variety that if well managed can produce wines with characteristics of dark and black fruits, pepper, liquorice, and spicy and savoury accents is put to use here in this old vine cargignan.

The Roqueterre, formally known as Grange du Midi, is made from old vines which travel deep into the soil in search of nutrients and minerals, this Carignan is a deep plum colour, soft with a medium body and packed full of cherries and red berry fruits, with a touch of chocolate and vanilla spice on the finish.  

The Roqueterre has plenty of Southern French character, despite this rustic charm, it is also a well-balanced and supple red with a touch of elegance.
